The Deposit Guarantee Scheme for the Caribbean Netherlands applies to the islands of Bonaire, St Eustatius and Saba. The deposit guarantee guarantees the deposits of account holders of banks licensed by De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). If a bank fails, the deposit guarantee guarantees deposits up to a maximum amount of USD 10,000.
There are three conditions for eligibility to the deposit guarantee:
- your bank partakes in the deposit guarantee;
- as an account holder, you are eligible for compensation under the deposit guarantee;
- your account is covered by the deposit guarantee and is held at a bank branch in the Caribbean Netherlands.
